In 2012 Michael started on the road of the biggest project he had ever been involved in. To coincide with the centenary in 2014, Michael wanted to put together an album reflecting some of the stories of World War One.

He began to get in touch with musicians he knew and the result was a stunning line-up of multi-award winning artists from around the UK.

‘Songs for the Voiceless’ was released in October 2014 and featured Bella Hardy, The Young’uns, Gilmore&Roberts, Ian Stephenson, Tom Oakes, Josienne Clarke and Jon Boden alongside Michael.

The album delivered 9 brand-new songs delving into lesser known stories of the war, reflecting it’s wide-ranging impact, not only on the soldiers, but their families and wider communities too.
