Michael and the Intergalactic Road Trip!
5***** Colin Buchanan (about ‘I’ve Got a Song About That!’)
“Hold tight as you head off on a fun–filled, full–tilt mysterious musical mission… to uncover God’s truth and sing, dance and celebrate the wonder of Jesus…”
Show Blurb
Michael and the crew will be getting ready for a road trip – as they pack their suitcases and think about what they need for the trip, they’ll discover all sorts of things about what it means to be part of God’s family. All the usual humour and songs will ensue!
This show is aimed at both kids from Christian families and children who have never heard about Jesus. Oh, and there will be plenty for the grown-ups listening in…
Personal Bio:
Michael J Tinker is a multi-faceted musician. He has recorded multiple folk and children’s albums and can currently be seen touring around the world performing shows for both music for children and adults. Michael is married to Jo and they have three children.

Show Rider (Churches and Festivals)
- 2x adults to help load in on arrival.
- 1x adult to help run tech (see tech spec below)
- A changing room (it doesn’t need to be anything special – just somewhere private to get changed before the concert).
- 2x adults to be either side of stage to help crowd-control (especially at smaller venues, children like to grab things from the stage, or dance too near the lights).
NB This is needed during and after the show when Michael will be meeting families. - 1x adult to introduce the show.
NB please make all announcements at the START of the show. There’s a good amount of fun chaos at the end of the show and Michael asks that no announcements are made then. - 1x adult to help with merchandise stall (Michael will bring payment system and explain how to use it. He will also be there at the stall to meet people and help if needed.)
- A light lunch/tea. BLT sandwich, fruit and crisps are great!
- A bed for the night. (Depending on timing of show, this may be the night before or the night of – please discuss this with Michael. He is very happy to lodge with families. No hotel needed.)
Things to note
Promotion for the show:
Promotion is largely the host church/festivals responsibility, though Michael will help in whatever way he can.
When sharing on social media please tag ‘@michaeljtinker’ (Facebook, instagram and TikTok). Instagram also allow for ‘collaborations’ – feel free to include Michael in that so it appears on his page.
Michael will also add it to his show listing on his website (which also appears on spotify and various other places) once he has all the details from you. If for whatever reason you don’t want it appearing publicly, please let him know upon booking.
Finishing with a bang…
The show always finishes with a bang! Literally… Michael brings a giant confetti canon (or 3 if it’s a large festival). The confetti is biodegradable and can be easily vacuumed/hoovered up.
If this is a problem, or you would like more details, please speak to Michael on booking.
Tech Spec for UK church shows
Michael will bring his own PA system, projector, screen and stage lights. (Please advise if you have good spotlights already in place).
Michael will need someone to help balance sound from his iPad during the show. This will all be set up before hand and volumes of songs and voice are already balanced, so it will just be a case of someone turning things up and down if needed during the actual show. It will just be 3 faders on Michael’s iPad (Headset voice, microphone for singing, and computer for songs) – none of these will need to be muted, just balanced as necessary.
Please provide a large table for Michael’s merchandise.
